Books as Recipies

Submitted by Tronathan on Thu, 10/16/2008 - 2:41pm.
The idea that every book we read can be be looked at as a recipie to make something in real life; either physical, mental (such as a web site), or experiential (such as a school program), or behavioural/emotional (such as new ways of interacting with people). The application of knowledge to reality has positive effects in that something new is created, the people creating are empowered by the experience, and the process of applying knowledge reenforces it and serves to aid in learning.
